"Note: The Fenix is available for local pickup in the San Francisco Bay Area."
"For auction is the extremely rare Synton Fenix analog modular synthesizer, hand built in 1997 in the Netherlands. This unit is one of 75 ever made! The Fenix is a highly sought after analog modular used by the likes of Aphex Twin and other artists. I've owned this Fenix for nearly a decade, after trading for it with a respected member of the Analogue Heaven mailing list. The sounds the Fenix can produce are like nothing else!
The following items are included in this auction:
- Synton Fenix analog modular synthesizer
- Primary power supply with a converter for U.S. power outlets
- Backup power supply and back panel (rare), should something ever happen to the original power components!
The Pomona banana patch cords shown in one of the pictures are NOT included in this auction.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent. There are a few very minor scratches on the back panel and sides from rack wear, but the face of the Fenix is in extremely good condition. Some of the pictures have glare due to sunlight in the upper portions of the photos. Don't worry, the finish is still a very dark black.
Operational Condition: Very good. All modules are 100% operational and functional. There are four slightly scratchy pots: VCF1 Frequency, VCF1 Resonance, VCF3 Frequency, and VC3 Resonance. These could easily be cleaned and/or repaired by a tech or an experienced audiophile. Servicing and part information can be found on the Dutch Synth web site.
Bid With Confidence: In addition to good eBay feedback, I have successfully sold many high dollar value items via the Analogue Heaven mailing list. You can find my seller feedback there by searching the Analogue Heaven archives for my (now defunct, do not email this address, use eBay for questions) email address: josh (at) digiradi.com
Shipping: Please ignore the shipping costs that are estimated below. Final shipping will depend on how fast the buyer wants the Fenix shipped via UPS and other options. The Fenix will be professionally packed at UPS (insurance, double boxed, etc.). I will provide a receipt for all shipping costs."
